Dr. Osabohien is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Energy Policy and Research (IEPRe) at the National Energy University (UNITEN) in Malaysia. He is also the Lead, Publications Unit at DePECOS Institutions and Development Research Centre (DIaDerc) in Nigeria and the Centre for Economic Policy and Development Research (CEPDeR) at Covenant University, Nigeria. Previously, he was a lecturer at Covenant University, where he earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Economics.
He has led and collaborated on multiple funded research projects, including the Research Linkage Programme between Covenant University, Nigeria and Witten/Herdecke University, Germany, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Foundation, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) funded project on Enhancing Capacity to Apply Research Evidence (CARE) for youth engagement in agribusiness.
Dr. Osabohien has co-edited books on Africa’s socioeconomic challenges, including COVID-19 in the African Continent (Emerald, 2022) and Socioeconomic Shocks and Africa’s Development Agenda (Routledge, 2023). He independently edited a book on Energy Efficiency in Critical Times: Security, Economics and Transition with Elsevier. Additionally, he serves as an author, reviewer, and editorial board member for journals.
